Vauxhall have brought back the GSI badge with this the new Insignia GSI.
The GSI badge was last seen on the Vectra C and I am sure that Vauxhall fans have been missing those 3 letters on their Vauxhall.
Vauxhall have released these pictures ahead of its Frankfurt Motor show debut.
It is powered by a 2.0 litre 4 cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces 260PS and 400Nm of torque. There is a 8 speed paddle shift auto gearbox with all of its engine power transferred to all 4 wheels.
It also has a new chassis and Brembo brakes. Part of the GSI development was on the Nürburgring circuit.
There is a weight saving of 160kg with this car and Vauxhall are promising excellent balance and power to weight ratio.
From the outside you will notice the difference with its more sportier looking front and rear bumpers. The front bumper has chrome air intakes and a lower spoiler. At the rear, it has a boot spoiler and 2 chrome exhaust pipes.
Inside the GSI it has full leather sports seats, a sports steering wheel and aluminium pedals.
