Isn’t it amazing to think that it’s been 30 years since the first Audi A3 was shown to the world at the Paris Motor Show back in 1996?

There have been four generations of the A3, with more than six million cars rolling off the production line and being delivered to over 100 countries worldwide.

My favourite has to be the Mk1 S3. I think it’s a really special car. As for the latest RS3, with that fantastic five-cylinder engine, I’d really love to get behind the wheel of one!

One thing is for sure, the Audi A3 really did make its mark on the premium compact car segment.
