The Volkswagen Transporter van is celebrating its 70th anniversary and the fact that it is the world’s longest production run van.  In March 1950 the first Volkswagen Transporter rolled off the Wolfsburg production line.  Since then over 13 million Transporters have been sold. 

The Transporter is known around the world as the Bulli, Kombi VW bus and microbus.  It has obviously gone through many many many transitions starting with the:

  • T1 1950 to 1967
  • T2 1967 to 1979
  • T3 1979 to 1992
  • T4 1990 to 2003
  • T5 2003 to 2015
  • T6 2015 to 2019
