BMW are celebrating Marco Wittmann winning this years DTM driver’s title with the launch of the BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition.

This car is only available in Alpine White with M Sport decals running the length of it. Its DTM race inspired aero parts are finished in carbon fibre which also include the huge rear wing on the boot lid. The bonnet, roof, and rear diffuser have been made from carbon fibre reinforced plastic. (CFRP)

Inside it has 2 Alcantara/Leather Merino covered M Carbon bucket seats. The rear seats have been replaced by a white rollover bar.

Full UK spec to be confirmed but expect to find air con, sat nav, OLED rear lights and LED headlights as standard equipment.

It is powered by the same straight 6 cylinder power unit as the formidable M4 GTS, which also includes BMW’s water cooling injection technology. Its rear tailpipes are made from lightweight titanium.

“Congratulations to Marco Wittmann, his team RMG and the entire crew from BMW Motorsport. We have the pleasure of honouring Marco’s performance by producing a BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition in 2016 to mark his winning the DTM driver’s title. Never before has one of our edition models been so closely linked to motor racing.”

Said Frank van Meel, President of BMW M GmbH.
