At the “Porsche 70 years of sports cars” ceremony, Porsche announced the name of its fully electric vehicle.
The Mission E pictured here by We Blog Any Car, will be known as the Taycan.
The name Taycan can be loosely translated as “lively young horse” This is refers to the Porsche crest which features a leaping steed since 1952.
The Taycan will have a power output of over 600 hp and will accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in under 3.5 seconds.
Porsche claim that its maximum range is over 310 miles.
Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG explains:
“Our new electric sports car is strong and dependable; it’s a vehicle that can consistently cover long distances and that epitomises freedom.”
