20 years after the end of the 993 production, Porsche Classic has built a air-cooled 993 Turbo.

It has been built using genuine parts and it took them one and a half years to complete. It has a hand-stamped chassis number.  This number follows the last series production model of the 993 Turbo…. which came off the production line back in 1998.

The 911 Turbo is painted in Golden Yellow Metallic (a reference to the 2018 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series).

The interior, and seats, are finished in black with Yellow details.

Its air-cooled, 3.6-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine, produces 450 hp.

Unfortunately this 993 Turbo cannot be used on public roads but can be driven on private tracks.

This collector’s car will be auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s at the Porsche Experience Centre in Atlanta on October 27, 2018. The proceeds will be donated to the Ferry Porsche Foundation – a non profit organization.  This will mark “70 years of Porsche sports cars” celebrations.

“Project Gold” showcases the comprehensive skill of Porsche Classic in fascinating fashion. This project clearly demonstrates our strategic approach. Although we are starting a new chapter in our sports car history with the Porsche Taycan, the story of how the company evolved is no less significant. On the contrary, this Golden Yellow 993 demonstrates how incredibly passionate we are about the tradition of our brand.
Project Gold” represents Porsche Classic’s spectacular contribution to the “70 years of Porsche sports cars.”
