Today is the launch of the Ultra Low Emissions Zone (ULEZ) in London. Could you imagine a car that can do 0 to 62 mph in under 2 seconds, has 1,900 hp, 2,300 Nm torque and can drive through the heart of London City and pay no congestion charge?

Well….this is it. The pure electric Pininfarina Battista.

As well as having a stunning 0 to 62 mph time (which would be faster than a F1 car) this hypercar is also expected to have a single-charge range of 300 miles. This means it should be able to drive from London to Paris on a single-charge.

The Battista is a truly beautiful, guilt-free hypercar – the first EV to really fall in love with – because electricity enables us to develop it with zero emissions and as the most powerful car that will have ever been designed and built in Italy.

As London joins many cities in moving towards a more sustainable future, we hope that the Battista also inspires a generation to consider electric cars, not just through the benefits of zero emissions, but also through the beauty and the performance that electrification offers.”

Said Michael Perschke, CEO, Automobili Pininfarina

First deliveries are expected in late 2020. It is available to order now from London Mayfair’s H.R Owen and Rybrook dealership in the Midlands.

This car’s potential performance figures excite me….as well as its looks.
