Nissan has unveiled this…. the all-new LEAF NISMO RC electric race car.
The racing LEAF was developed by Nissan’s racing arm NISMO and will make its official debut at the annual NISMO Festival at the Fuji International Speedway tomorrow.
The LEAF NISMO RC is powered by 2 electric motors which produce 240 kilowatts of power and 640 Nm of torque.
It only weighs 1,220 kg and can go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.4 seconds.
Executive Vice President Daniele Schillaci, Nissan’s global head of marketing, sales and electric vehicles said:
“The all-new LEAF NISMO RC shows how we’re setting our sights even higher when it comes to raw power and performance – making electric vehicles even more exciting for customers. It’s our most thrilling expression yet of the philosophy of Nissan Intelligent Mobility.”
Nissan plan to only build 6 LEAF NISMO RC with a view to show them at various events world-wide…. so that “us” the fans can experience the power.
