Lancia has unveiled its new HF logo. The HF logo was introduced at the 1953 Geneva Motor Show when a group of Lancia car owners founded the Lancia Hi-Fi (High-Fidelity) Club for those who bought at least six new Lancias.
The little elephant symbol was apparently chosen in 1953 as a lucky charm by Gianni, son of Vincenzo Lancia. The meaning is that when elephants are in a running race, they are unstoppable.
The symbol of the galloping elephant comes from Easter mythology. It is a symbol of good luck and victory, providing the elephant trunk is extended forward.
The new HF logo will make its debut on the new Lancia Ypsilon HF.

At the occasion of the debut of the movie Race for Glory in the major Italian theatres, I am delighted to unveil the new HF logo, which will make its debut on the New Lancia Ypsilon HF, before being used on the future high-performance versions of the brand. After the presentation of the New Lancia Ypsilon, the first car of the brand new era, today we take another step ahead in the path to Renaissance, to emphasise the brand most brutal and radical soul and its commitment to focusing on performance models.

Will we return to the Rally? We are working on it.'”

Said Luca Napolitano, Lancia brand CEO.
