The BMW X6 has been around in our motoring lives for almost a decade.  I remember seeing it for the first time at either the Geneva or Frankfurt Auto Show and not being too sure of the Sport Activity Coupe concept of mixing coupe looks with a SUV? But it has worked and their owners love them.
BMW have sold over 443,000 X6’s worldwide and they have now just released details of the all new X6.

The new X6 is 26mm longer, 15mm wider and 6mm lower than the previous model.
It will be available in 3 different models from launch: Sport, M Sport and M Performance.
What has really got me excited is the news that it’s available with an optional illuminated BMW front kidney grille which, when activated, can be part of the daytime running lights. This is something I have to see.
At launch there will be 2 petrol engines and 2 diesel engines.
The top of the range X6 M50i engine produces 530hp and 750Nm of torque. The 8 cylinder engine has a pair of twin-scroll turbochargers between the 2 banks of cylinders.  0-62 mph takes 4.3 seconds and its top speed is 155 mph.

Prices start at £59,340 for the xDrive 30d rising to £76,870 for the M50i.
