BMW are celebrating 50 years of its M performance division with this…its new limited edition 3.0 CSL.

It features the most powerful straight six-cylinder engine ever used in a BMW M car. The 3.0 litre unit produces 560hp, 550 Nm of torque and is connected to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

BMW have used carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) in the body and chassis to reduce weight further.

Rear seats are not needed in this car. Two helmet storage compartments are located where the rear seats would be. The driver and passenger sit in M Carbon bucket seats.

A team of 30 technicians are responsible for the assembly of the 3.0 CSL’s which can take up to 10 days to produce.

Only 50 cars will be built and I have no details on the price.
