Renault have upgraded their Megane Renaultsport and
2 new version are being offered.
The New 275 Cup S and the 275 Nav. (Nav model gets additional automatic lights and wipers, climate control, rear parking sensors, sat nav and chrome Renaultsport door sill plates.)
As our blog readers will notice the name is 275. This does however mean that it is packing 275hp which is 10hp more than the model it replaces for no extra money.
Both the 275 Cup S and 275 Nav are powered by the same 2.0 litre 275 hp turbo petrol engine. They both come with an uprated cup chassis as standard.

The driver can control the Megane Renaultsport Dynamic Management System which has 3 modes. In Normal mode the car produces 250hp. You can then switch it to Sport mode and receive the full 275hp.  It will have a sport throttle mapping and less electronic stability control. Go to Race mode, if you dare, and it switches off the electronic stability control all together. ( Sport throttle mapping included).
If you so wish you can spec your Megane Renaultsport with Ohins road and track adjustable dampers, Akrapovic lightweight titanium exhaust system and a set of Michelin Pilot Sports Cup 2 tyres.  You will have to pay any extra cost for these but it will really make it ready for the track.

We Blog Any Car Thoughts…………….

It will make the Golf GTI, Focus ST, Astra VXR and others sit up and pay attention. I have had the pleasure in driving the older model around Silverstone and from what I see here they have made a good car better.
We Blog Any Car think it’s a great idea that you can add spec-like racing bespoke options from manufactures Ohlins,Akrapovic and Michelin.
This is the same engine that was in the limited edition 275 Trophy-R.  In June 2014 it broke the lap time around the Nurburgring Nordschleife for a front wheel drive car posting a impressive time of 7 minutes and 54.36 seconds.
