The legendary Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint has turned 70 years old after it was unveiled in coupe version at the 1954 Turin Motor Show. Around 2,000 orders were placed for the Giulietta Sprint on the first few days of the motor show.

The Giulietta’s 1.3 litre four-cylinder twin-cam aluminum engine was capable of a top speed of around 106 mph.

Alfa Romeo then launched the saloon version, Spider and Giulietta SZ. A total of 177,690 Giuliettas were produced.
