Alcraft Motor Company has just released details of their first electric vehicle…….. the Alcraft GT. The high end, high performance, battery only electric car will be capable of 300 miles. It is shown here as a 2 seater but could be built as a 2 +2.

Alcraft Motor founder and managing director David Alcraft said:

“We want to build a British car company which brings together traditional skills and high technology for the emerging low carbon car market”.

“We’re about combining great design, outstanding dynamics and the visceral thrill of electric powertrains to create products that are high in performance and desirability but very usable. We hope this will establish a niche For Alcraft Motor in Britain’s renowned specialist low-volume car industry.”

Virtual testing has provided figures of:

3.5 seconds 0 to 62mph
840 of torque
300 miles range
3 electric motors
4 wheel drive
500 litre boot area
the use of carbon-fibre in the body structure

The next step for Alcraft Motor Company is to build a prototype and this is the exciting part of their journey.
