This year, the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery, is on at the Birmingham’s NEC from the 9th – 11th of November and it will feature 2 special displays from Porsche.

Porsche Cars Great Britain will have on display some special edition models that were created to celebrate Porsche’s 70th anniversary.
20 special edition restorations were commissioned and these included 10 Boxster models.
The restoration features bespoke interiors, a 70 Year of Porsche plaque and they are all painted in “Liquid Metal” silver paint.
This paint colour has only been used on the Porsche 918 Spyder.
The special edition restorations will be sold towards the end of the year and at the show you will be able to register your interest.

Porsche will also have on display its “Restoracing” competition race cars.
The competition, now in its 3rd year, is a challenge for the Porsche GB centres.
Each Porsche centre has to restore a 986 Boxster and then prepare it to race specifications.
The cars were then raced by a member of the dealership staff with no previous racing experience.
The competition consisted of 3 rounds and 6 races at Silverstone and Brands Hatch circuits.
This years competition was won by Porsche Centre Bolton.

On display there will be the project “70” race car. This car has been raced by Derek Bell, Richard Attwood and Anthony Reid at the Silverstone Classic, Le Mans and the Nürburgring’s Oldtimer Grand Prix.
