Here is your chance to own what used to be the fastest production saloon car in the world and the car that the UK Government considered banning, mainly because it was a Vauxhall capable of reaching a top speed of 177 mph.

The Vauxhall Lotus Carlton is a car with such a rich backstory.
This 1991 Vauxhall Lotus Carlton will be going under the hammer on the 11th of May at the Historics Auctioneers auction, held at the Farnborough International Exhibition Centre.

This car has undergone a three-year restoration after it was discovered in a barn, where it had been stored since 2006 with only 59,614 miles on it.
A full glass-out repaint, welding, engine/turbo refurbishment, as well as interior and wheel restoration, were undertaken at an estimated cost of £60,000.

This car has travelled 62,000 miles and has a guide price of £59,000 – £70,000.
