Renault are really giving their customers some new sporty options.

The new Clio R.S is available with a 1.6 litre turbo petrol engine with a choice of 2 power outputs: 200hp and 220hp on the Trophy version.

Both cars have a dual clutch automatic gearbox with paddle shifts.

You now have the choice of ordering 3 chassis set ups:

  • Sport chassis with 17 or 18 inch wheels. Renault say for everyday use.
  • A strengthened Cup chassis with 18 inch alloy wheels for owners who like a blend of road and circuit driving characteristics.
  • Trophy chassis with 18 inch alloys wheels, lowered suspension by 20mm at the front and 10mm at the rear with the driving characteristics that will all be about focus driving.

The Trophy version can be ordered with the new Akrapovic exclusive exhaust system.

The Trophy version can go from 0 to 62 mph in only 6.6 seconds on its way to a top speed of 146 mph.

LED lights, rear diffuser, rear spoiler, and twin exhaust are all standard.

The New Clio R.S will be available to order in the UK from September.

We Blog Any Car thoughts…………….

I am a fan of the old Clio R.S, be it 172, 182 and the also impressive 197. This new one seems to have all the right ingredients on paper.
