Lamborghini have unveiled details of its first HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle).
The hybrid super sports car codename LB744 will use a 6.5 litre V12 mid-mounted engine with three electric motors and a eight-speed double-clutch gearbox. This new powertrain will deliver over 1000 hp in total.
The 6.5 litre engine produces 725 Nm of torque and the two electric front motors produce 350 Nm of torque each. This new engine only weights 218 kg.

Third electric motor is located above the gearbox and can act as the starter motor/generator as well as supplying power to the front electric motors.
The LB744 can be driven in all-wheel drive fully electric mode.
It will make its debut later this year.
