Europe’s best selling electric vehicle, the Renault ZOE, will now feature a new R110 electric motor for the model year 2018.
The new 80kW powerplant is 16hp more powerful than the R90 which it now replaces.
The major benefits from this new powerplant is better acceleration from 49.7-to-74.5mph. It is almost 2 seconds faster than the older model and with no increase in size or weight to the unit.
Elisabeth Delval, Assistant Programme Director, Renault ZOE, said:
“Thanks to this power boost, ZOE is even more responsive and versatile when used for journeys out of town. In addition to being able to enjoy the pleasure of driving a ZOE, drivers will also benefit from the longest range available for a mass-market electric car.”
