Figures out today from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) show that for May 2021 new car registrations improved compared to May 2020 (when we were all in a national lock down). However, whilst May 2021 new car registrations are down (-14.7% on pre-pandemic May 2019) the plug-in vehicle market continues to rise –  accounting for 13.8% of new registrations in the UK.
