Underneath all this camouflage is the all new Vauxhall Insignia which will be know as the Insignia Grand Sport. It is in its final stage of development and “shake down testing” on our UK roads before making its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show next year.

What do we know so far?

Well……..The Insignia Grand Sport is a 5 door hatchback that is completely new.

Its wheelbase has increased by over 9cm and its overall length is 5.5 cm longer than the current Insignia. So expect even more room inside.

Its roofline is 3cm lower which is interesting because I never thought of the current Insignia as being a tall car.

Opel/Vauxhall have shaved off 175 kg of weight compared to the current Insignia using lightweight materials.

“Vauxhall is raising its game even further with the launch of the new Insignia Grand Sport”. “It will set new standards for design, efficiency, technology and connectivity when it debuts next year at the Geneva Motor Show.”

Said, Rory Harvey, Vauxhall’s Chairman and Managing Director.

Well it will be interesting to see this car without the camouflage. Maybe Opel/Vauxhall will take a lot of inspiration from the Monza Concept back in 2013.

Time will tell!

Did you know?………..That over 900,000 Insignias have been sold in Europe so far.
