It has been a long time but soon the name Fiat 124 Spider will be back on UK roads. It was unveiled at the LA Motorshow this year and it has been almost 50 years since the original 124 Spider was launched.
The new Fiat 124 Spider was designed in Turin Italy as a sports convertible car incorporating Italian style and shares the same characteristics as the original spider such as a front engine, rear wheel drive and a manual roof.

We Blog Any Car thoughts…………
Roll on Geneva Motorshow…..We don’t want to sound as if we are wishing our life away but we want to see this car for real.
This is exciting times for Fiat and they look to be on the right track with their model range. This car could be the cherry on the cake. I remember back in the late 90’s when I was selling Fiats….. I really enjoyed selling the Barchetta (See pictures below) because the test drives were always fun and the customers seemed to love it.
I do believe that Fiat, and myself at the time, would have sold more Barchetta in the UK if they had not been Left hand drive only! Therefore to ensure this car becomes a major player in our UK convertible market, we hope that the steering wheel will be on the right side of the car.
