You may already know… but I thought that I would do a quick post regarding vehicle owners being granted a 6 month exemption on MOTs!!

How is this going to work?

So, from Monday 30th March 2020, if your vehicle is due an MOT you will be automatically granted a 6 month extension to your MOT expiry date. For example – your car MOT expires on 3rd April 2020. It will now expire on the 3rd October 2020. BUT your car must be kept in a roadworthy condition. Some garages will still be open to carry out essential repairs to key workers’ vehicles because they are listed in the essential group of businesses to stay open.
