BYD’S YANGWANG U9 BECOMES WORLD’S FASTEST ELECTRIC VEHICLE. Short new car news.

Yangwang, BYD’s high end sub brand, has set a new record for an electric vehicle with the YANGWANG U9 Track Edition supercar. It reached a top speed of 293.54 mph at the ATP Automotive Testing Papenburg test track in Germany.

The YANGWANG U9 Track Edition’s e4 Platform is the world’s first quad motor system that features 30,000 rpm motors producing 555 kW per motor. Combined power output is over 3,000 PS.
