The new car market in October grew by 14.3%, with a total of 153,529 registrations, according to the latest figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
This is 7.2% above pre-pandemic levels, making this the best month since 2018 and marking the 15th consecutive month of growth.
The growth was largely driven by large fleet registrations, which grew by 28.8%.
October’s best selling new car was the Ford Puma.
