The Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery 3 day event come to an end last Sunday.  With over 71,000 visitors passing through the doors at the NEC, we were all in for a treat.  There were 3,000 vehicles and 300 motoring clubs in attendance – making it a fantastic opportunity to go and talk to the owner of a classic car or just view the stunning vehicles on display.  There was a huge amount of car parts, accessories, automotive themed clothing and even living room/outdoor furniture for sale.

Once again, this year’s show just blew me away with so much to see.  I spent 2 days at the show and my Fitbit recorded that I clocked up over 18,000 steps and did almost 8 miles of walking on the first day!!  I am sure I still didn’t see everything!!

The really great news is that The Sporting Bears did around 750 Dream Passenger Rides in over 80 cars available during the weekend.  They raised just under £30,000 for UK children’s charities!!!

Those of you that follow me on Facebook and Instagram would know that I paid a visit to the Silverstone Auctions on the Saturday afternoon at the show. The 2 day event witness some record breaking sale results.  An ex-works 1955 Le Mans Triumph TR2 sold for £258,750 and the 2,000 mile Jaguar XJ220 sold for £362,812,00! (both prices include the fees).

The next Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery will take place from the 13th to the 15th of November 2020.  Save the date in your calendar!!

More pictures from the show will be uploaded on Facebook and Instagram.
