This is the 2025 Toyota C-HR and let’s just say this thing makes a statement. Its bold, futuristic design that really stands out on the road. Flashy looks aside, what is it actually like to drive?
I took the new petrol hybrid C-HR out for a quick spin to get some raw, honest first impressions. This isn’t a deep dive review just a quick drive to get a feel for weather this compact SUV deserves a spot on your new car radar.
Right off the bat, I was impressed by how well the C-HR switches between its petrol engine and electric battery. It is seamless. There is no lag just smooth acceleration and quiet cruising when on electric power.
Driving around the car feels planted and easy to control. Visibility is excellent in all directions which really boosts confidence when navigating through traffic or parking in tighter spots. It is one of those cars that instantly feels comfortable to drive.
The Toyota C-HR hybrid left a solid first impression. It is stylish, efficient and most importantly relaxing to drive. I’ll need more time behind the wheel to give a full verdict but so far, this feels like a very capable compact SUV.
Check out my first impressions video below where I go into more detail from behind the wheel.
