At this year’s Geneva International Motor Show, RUF presented their new CTR Anniversary. For those who don’t know who RUF is: the company was started in 1939.

They are most famous for producing very fast and powerful Porsche based cars. I say “Porsche based cars” because this new CTR resembles a 911 model…. but it really isn’t. In Germany, RUF is looked upon as a stand alone German car manufacturer. They make their own panels etc….and build the cars themselves.

This new CTR uses an all new light carbon-fibre tub.

To coincide with the RUF’s 80th year celebrations the new CTR will be built in limited numbers and will pay homage to the original CTR.

Sitting in the rear of the CTR is a 3.6 litre twin turbo flat 6 engine that produces 700 BHP and 880 Nm of torque. It uses a 7 speed manual gearbox and can reach a top speed of 224 mph. It only weighs 1250 kg.

All I’m going to say next is…. if you have to ask what the price is? The likelihood is that neither you (nor I) can afford it!
